About Lauren R. Silberman
Ms. Silberman is the program coordinator for the Museum Assessment Program with the American Association of Museums. She is the author of Wicked Baltimore (History Press, 2011) and The Jewish Community of Baltimore (Arcadia Publishing, 2008).
She attended the George Washington University, where she majored in painting and art history, graduating magna cum laude, and the Maryland Institute College of Art, studying graphic design in their continuing education program. She has also studied in Florence, Italy. Currently, she lives outside of D.C. with her husband and dog. MUSEUMS Besides graphic design, she has also worked with several museums, including the Phillips Collection and the Jewish Museum of Maryland, as well as having interned with two Smithsonian museums: the Freer and Sackler Galleries of Asian Art and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. She currently works for the American Association of Museums and serves on the board of the Small Museum Association and the Greenbelt Museum. GRAPHIC DESIGN/ARTWORK She has been involved with graphic design for several years, developing items for several non-profits, and corporations.
